This is an fascinating read. A majority of the work I do is storytelling and some of the points you made remind me of key concepts in copywriting.

What would you say are the things you've been doing to help you leave behind these stories and narratives that are rooted in conflict?

Oh wow, what concepts in copywriting?

The best way I've found to leave stories and narratives rooted in conflict behind is to zero in on the things you judge and accept them as a mirror for yourself, and then integrate them as a part of you. Nothing is separate! Conflict-driven narratives are born out of the myth of separation.

A framework in copywriting when proposing an idea:

1. Acknowledge how challenging the current state is for the reader. Validating how they feel without pressing too hard on the issue. There's a fine balance of poking at strong emotions to engage the reader without creating too much discomfort to drive them away.

2. Create a vivid scenario that the reader can see themselves in. Build on the emotions they can feel in that situation. Make that possibility feel as real as it can for them.

3. Propose the solution to their current state that can lead to the scenario you've just made them experience.

E-commerce copywriting is all about identifying(making up) a problem that a product can solve and writing a story about it.

"This car shows how successful you are."

"These tights can keep up with you, no matter what."

"Redbull gives you wings."

These stories serve a very specific goal and it's not always for the greater good.

But I'm seeing new stories emerge. Ones that are hopeful and bright. Stories that make my mind wander into a wonderful future. I can see the efforts on community-building and I feel the stories of separation becoming quieter.
